That’s how much money, over three years, the Steampunk Ghostbusters Charity ball raised for the Cancer Council Queensland. With immeasurable thanks to our guests, to the venue and staff, but most of all due to the amazing efforts of our coordinating committee and the volunteers. Honoured to have been a small part of a wonderful outcome.

Even though it is now over a month since the second annual Steampunk Ghostbusters Charity Ball for 2015, I’m still watching the amount of money raised rise. We had thought we’d put in a magnificent total with the first estimate of just over $7000, but thanks to the tireless efforts of our talented photographer we have to pushed over $8000 raised for the Cancer Council Queensland. Frankly, it’s astounding, phenomenal and a tribute to everyone who attended, and everyone who worked hard to make it a reality.
Quite tardily, my apologies, I can report the Steampunk Ghostbusters Charity Ball held last month was an outstanding success. The event raised just under $5,000 for the Cancer Council Queensland, yet apart from the charity effort – the outfit effort was positively amazing. There were steampunked green fairies, hats that were ships complete with rigging, along with ghostbusters modern and Victorianesque. The professional photographer took outstanding pictures of the event, as did many of the attendees, you can see them on the Steampunk Charity Ball page.
Well I’m excited. The Steampunk Ghostbusters are hosting a charity ball to raise money for the Queensland Cancer Council. There’ll be a short performance by amateur thespians, an auction, nibblies and everyone MUST attend in a steampunk/ victorian outfit. New bonus, each paying attendee will receive a Steampunk Ghostbusters pin, which is pretty darn snazzy. The event is on the 19th of July, held in the Cloudland’s Heritage Room in Fortitude Valley, Queensland. If you can attend, you really should.
